The office of Environment and Heritage in association with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has created The Kosciuszko National Park (KNP) Plan of Management in 2006 to provide a framework for managing the largest park in NSW. Each year the Plan of Management reports on its achievements, research and monitoring of programs for the assessment of the parks condition.
Management issues facing the governing bodies include financial contributions or lack thereof provided by State and Federal government as well as independent organisations. As well as coordinating jobs and maintenance with the various groups that work and live among the park.
