Mt Kosciuszko is the highest peak in its self titled National Park - in fact, it is the highest peak in all of mainland Australia! Kosciuszko National Park (KNP) is the biggest national park in all of NSW, of which it covers 6,900 square kilometers of breathtaking scenery and many rare and endangered plant and animal species. The Park is situated in south east New South Wales and is a part of the Australian Alpine Region, a set of mountain ranges reaching from north eastern NSW down through to eastern Victoria. |
