Long Walk Interactive Research Site
The intention of the research project is for you to research one of the following topics and build an interactive research site (Webfolio).
This project is to design a webfolio that is specific to a topic area; the webfolio will act as a resource for others to gain a greater insight into the chosen topic. The webfolio will allow others to access the information in an informative, engaging and structured manner.
The aim is rather then producing assignments that do not have a life after the grade is given, these webfolio’s will enable others to have greater access to a broad range of information on an ongoing basis.
Information for all topics
It is important to recognise that the walk will encompass 3 distinct environments:
• Alpine environment – Kosciusko to Round MT.
• Sub Alpine environment – Cascade, Pilot and Chimneys area
• Hot dry environment – Snowy River
When researching the topic and developing your webfolio, you MUST look at the three different environments we are travelling through.
Your webfolio needs to demonstrate you have evaluated the differences between the three distinct environments and the chosen topic
Structure

- Research component - Addressing the dot points listed with each topic
- Activity plan – Outline of plan for the delivery of your activity based upon the research including any resources that you will need
- Interactive reference list
Topic - Kosciusko National Park
- What is the history of the Park
- Ho has its status changed over time?
- Who was involved in its development?
- What are the attributes/characteristics that lead to the development of the park?
- What are the main management issues facing the governing bodies?
